The weather has cooled down – slightly – the Christmas lights are up and the decorations are a plenty. Christmas is here! To add to the party, I thought it would be nice to share a festively flavoured smoothie - great for an on-the-go breakfast. You can even make it the night before if you are pushed for time in the mornings. It's basically a gingerbread cookie in a sip-able form. It’s also a nice afternoon treat for those who crave something sweet. Low GI, high in vitamins and minerals and low in calories. A real family pleaser….
Ginger-Oat Smoothie
Ingredients:
¾ tsp ground ginger
1 cup almond milk
2 tbs Molasses
Table spoon of oats
¼ tsp mixed spice
2 tsp chia seeds
Instructions:
Throw all ingredients into your blender and blend. Consistency is quite thick, you can add more almond milk if you prefer a thinner version.
